About Bay Terrace, NY

Bay Terrace is a neighborhood located on the East Shore of Staten Island. Joe Borelli represents the community in the New York City Council. It is known before as Whitlock with the main thoroughfare being called as Bay Terrace Avenue.

It was in the 1950s that the vicinity started to develop and was simply called as Bay Terrace because of the flat and ramp-like terrain that stretches downward towards Great Kills Park. New commercial establishments started to rise in the area due to the growing population.
